CONFLICTS RES HANDS

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Do you ever find yourself running from conflict or doing anything you can to avoid it, even if it means unpleasant consequences for you?

Do you ever feel that you or someone you have dealings with must win all of the time despite how it affects others or oneself?

Do you find yourself giving in to the demands of others to “keep the peace” regardless of what it means for you?

Do you tend to feel defeated in your dealings with others that you have a disagreement with?

Do you tend to feel like you give more of yourself than you receive back in your relationships?

If you answered yes to any of these questions it is likely that you have difficulties dealing with conflict or conflictual perspectives that cause issues in your life, interpersonal relationships, and maybe even within yourself.

In any of these cases, you may suffer from anger, anxiety, or depression as a result of these unhealthy habitual behavioral strategies you have come to adapt when faced with conflict.

If you can relate, rest assured you’re not the only one!

Studies have shown that about 85% of workers experience some level of conflict in their workplace.

Similarly, it is a fact that every couple experiences conflicts, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but inability to resolve them can result in negative outcomes for not only the couple, but for each individual.

It is also a fact that conflict, be it small or significant, exists within all types of relationships at one time or another, making conflict resolution an important aspect of life for everyone!

Psychotherapy, CBT and problem solving therapies can help you gain insight into the underlying causes for your chosen approaches to conflict that result in unsatisfying outcomes, teach you new perspectives and ways of thinking that are healthier and more satisfying to your needs when conflict arises, and teach you more effective skills for approaching different types of conflict that help to reduce tension, find solutions, and improve your life, your interpersonal relationships and overall well-being.

As I have shared on previous pages, I use CBT as the basis for my psychotherapy, as well other helpful methods, tools, and strategies tailored to you as a unique individual to help you get complete care, support, and healing throughout your journey in therapy.
